Ashley so generously volunteered her time and talents to chair Town and Country School’s 2011 Summer Soiree. This is the school’s biggest fundraising event that supports the mission of educating children with learning differences, ADHD, and Asperger’s syndrome (high functioning autism). She transformed the already beautiful venue of Southern Hills Country Club to that of a breath-taking Moroccan wonderland, complete with rich, colorful fabrics, decorative, Moroccan lanterns and soft, up-lighting. Upon arrival, each guest was greeted with a photo opportunity with a live camel and belly dancers which they took home in a commemorative frame. Other highlights of the evening included henna artists, a high-energy, Bollywood performance by the South Tulsa Dance Company and Just Move dance group and dancing after the program with a great OKC party band, SquadLive. Ashley also worked with the chef at Southern Hills to create a delicious Middle Eastern menu- It truly was a perfect evening!
I will probably never get to travel to the Middle East, but I feel like I got to experience it for one magical evening. I was so impressed with Ashley’s vision, professionalism, and organization. I really enjoyed working with her- she was truly a blessing to me and the school. I think this was our best event EVER!
